Smoke & Mirrors?

Well, some smoke and a little Photoshop actually.

Alastair’s “smoke” images are certainly eyecatching. So how did he make them? He tells us that he began by looking at this video tutorial by Gavin Hoey on YouTube.

In another of Alastair’s images he seems to have enhanced a smoke image with the Kaleidoscope filter that we talked about recently to produce this amazing pattern.

And this Flickr site shows even more examples of what can be done with these techniques.

So in the long, grey, cold & wet days of summer, why not give it a go?
